History of Old Town

Operating since December 1986, Old Town was originally conceived as a project to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of Kissimmee. At the time, Kissimmee was a small town with a population of approximately 2,000 people. Featuring historical architecture and design, the downtown district of Old Town was modeled after Kissimmee's turn-of-the-century commercial district.

The park has continued to grow and evolve over the years, and it now attracts over 1 million visitors annually. Old Town is open every day of the week from 10am to 10pm, and admission is free.
